Research Focus

Our group investigates the pivotal roles of astrocytes and microglia in driving neuroinflammation and neurodegeneration, key processes underlying disorders like Alzheimer’s disease. We decode glia-neuron communication and inflammatory signaling to identify targets that regulate harmful and protective brain responses. Using network pharmacology, we design multi-target drug candidates to modulate glial activation, oxidative stress, and mitochondrial dysfunction for neuroprotection. Our research links systemic conditions such as hypertension to chronic brain inflammation, advancing novel therapies to halt or reverse neurodegenerative progression.
